Task-Node

Task-Node is a core analytical unit in The Displacement Dynamic. It refers to a bounded piece of work that can be identified, measured, reassigned, automated, or removed within a larger production process.

The concept is used to separate a specific unit of execution from the broader job, role, or institution around it. This makes it possible to describe technological displacement at the level where work actually changes.

In the framework, changes to a Task-Node can alter who performs the work, how much agency remains with a human operator, and how value or leverage is distributed across the surrounding system.
